URL Encode Webhook Bodies for Forwarding
𧩠Problem
Forwarded webhooks get rejected when not URL-encoded. When malformed or unstructured data hits routers, filters, or API connectors, entire automations halt or silently drop records. Teams end up retrying runs, hand-editing payloads, and explaining delays to customers.
π‘ Why This Happens
Some APIs only accept x-www-form-urlencoded payloads. Most automation platforms assume well-formed payloads and do minimal validation. AI models, third-party APIs, and changing vendor schemas drift over time, mixing encodings, formats, and unexpected fields that downstream steps cannot tolerate.
π The Fix: URL Encode (API Endpoint)
Use this endpoint to solve the problem reliably inside Zapier, Make.com, n8n.
Endpoint
POST https://api.postthatgetthis.com/url/encode
Example Input
{ "data": "email=demo@ptgt.com&plan=pro" }
Example Output
email%3Ddemo%40ptgt.com%26plan%3Dpro
π¦ What This Solves
- Form-encode bodies safely
- Reduce 400 errors
- Better compatibility
